Rhyme Scheme: AABCCB DDBEEB FFBGGB HHBIIB AABJJB

She's the daughter of the breezeA
She's the darling of the seasA
And we call her if you please the bright Medu saB
From beneath her bosom bareC
To the snakes among her hairC
She's a flash o' golden light the bright Medu saB
-
When the ensign dips aboveD
And the guns are all for loveD
She's as gentle as a dove the bright Medu saB
But when the shot's in rackE
And her forestay flies the JackE
He's a merry man would slight the bright Medu saB
-
When she got the word to goF
Up to Monte VideoF
There she found the river low the bright Medu saB
So she tumbled out her gunsG
And a hundred of her sonsG
And she taught the Dons to fight the bright Medu saB
-
When the foeman can be foundH
With the pluck to cross her groundH
First she walks him round and round the bright Medu saB
Then she rakes him fore and aftI
Till he's just a jolly raftI
And she grabs him like a kite the bright Medu saB
-
She's the daughter of the breezeA
She's the darling of the seasA
And you'll call her if you please the bright Medu saB
For till England's sun be setJ
And it's not for setting yetJ
She shall bear her name by right the bright Medu saB
