Srahmandazi Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB CDED EFBF FFBF FGH

Deep embowered beside the forest riverA
Where the flame of sunset only fallsB
Lapped in silence lies the House of DyingC
House of them to whom the twilight callsB
-
There within when day was near to endingC
By her lord a woman young and strongD
By his chief a songman old and strickenE
Watched together till the hour of songD
-
O my songman now the bow is brokenE
Now the arrows one by one are spedF
Sing to me the song of SrahmandaziB
Srahmandazi home of all the deadF
-
Then the songman flinging wide his songnetF
On the last token laid his master's handF
While he sang the song of SrahmandaziB
None but dying men can understandF
-
Yonder sun that fierce and fiery heartedF
Marches down the sky to vanish soonG
At the self same hour inH
