Watching The Crows Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEEFF GGHHII JJKKCC

A bushman got lost in a scrub in the NorthA
And all the long morning the searchers went forthA
They swore at the rain that had washed out the tracksB
And left not a trace for the eyes of the blacksB
But trusting the signs that the blackfellow knowsC
A quiet old darkey stood watching the crowsC
-
The solemn old blackman stood silently byD
He stood like a statue his face to the skyD
Black Billy was out of the bearings we thoughtE
If he looked above for the bushman we soughtE
For we rather suspected the spirit would goF
In well quite another direction you knowF
-
Most bushmen on solemn occasions will jokeG
And unto Black Bill twas the super who spokeG
He asked as he cocked his red nose in the airH
You think it old Harrison sit down up thereH
I m watching the crows Where the white man lies deadI
The crows will fly over the blackfellow saidI
-
The blackfellow died and long years have gone roundJ
Since the day when old Harrison s body was foundJ
But still do I see in my vision at nightK
A faint figure come like a shadow in sightK
And nearer and nearer it comes till it growsC
Like the form of that blackfellow watching the crowsC
