To A Pair Of Blucher Boots Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH AHAH

OLD acquaintance unforgottenA
Though you may be ugly brutesB
Though your leather s cracked and rottenA
Worn out pair of Blucher bootsB
-
Tis the richer man before youC
Dearer leathers grace his feetD
Twas the better man that wore youC
In the tramps through dust and heatD
-
Oft rebuffed by super s snarlingE
When I asked him for a showF
On that long tramp to the DarlingE
In the days of long agoF
-
Tell me if you know it whetherG
As I sadly tramped awayH
Bore I heavy on your leatherG
Worn out pair of Bluchers sayH
-
Though your leather s cracked and rottenA
Though you may be ugly brutesH
I ll preserve you unforgottenA
Worn out pair of Blucher bootsH
