Sheoaks That Sigh When The Wind Is Still Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABB ACACC ABABB ABABABB

Why are the sheoaks forever sighingA
Sheoaks that sigh when the wind is stillB
Why are the dead hopes forever dyingA
Dead hopes that died and are with us stillB
As you make it and what you willB
-
Why are the ridges forever waitingA
Ridges that waited ere one man cameC
Still by the towns with their life vibratingA
Lonely ridges that wait the sameC
Ridges and gullies without a nameC
-
Why is the strong heart forever peeringA
Into the future that speaks no illB
Why is the kind heart forever cheeringA
Even at times when the fears are stillB
As you make it and what you willB
-
Why is the distance forever drawingA
The wide horizon is round us stillB
Why is resentment forever gnawingA
Against a world that may mean no illB
Why are so many forever sawingA
On strings that rasp and can never thrill Soothe or thrillB
As you make it and what you willB
