Hawkers Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDBEBFB

Dust dust dust and a dogA
Oh The sheep dog won t be lastB
When the long long shadow of the old bay horseC
With the shadow of his mate is castB
A brick brown woman with the brick brown kidsD
And a man with his head half mastB
The feed bags hung and the bedding slungE
And the blackened bucket made fastB
Where the tailboard clings to the tucker and thingsF
So the hawker s van goes pastB
