An Australian Advertisement Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFEF GHIHJKJK LMLMNONO

WE WANT the man who will lead the vanA
The man who will pioneerB
We have no use for the gentlemanC
Or the cheating Cheap Jack hereD
We have no room for the men who shirkE
The sweat of the brow CondemnF
The men who are frightened to look for workE
And funk when it looks for themF
-
We ll honour the man who can t affordG
To wait for a job that suitsH
But sticks a swag on his shoulders broadI
And his feet in blucher bootsH
And tramps away o er the ridges farJ
And over the burning sandK
To look for work where the stations areJ
In the lonely Western landK
-
He ll brave the drouth and he ll brave the rainL
And fight his sorrows downM
And help to garden the inland plainL
And build the inland townM
And he ll be found in the coming yearsN
With a heart as firm and stoutO
An honoured man with the pioneersN
Who lead the people outO
