Rhyme Scheme: ABCBCDEDFGHIJKHK LCFCMCNC COBOPQPQ JRJRCSTS UVPVWJHJ

Tis glorious morning everywhereA
Save where the alleys lieB
I see the fleecy steam jets bidC
Good morning to the skyB
The gullies of the waratahC
Are near with fall and poolD
And by the shadowed western rocksE
The bays are fresh and coolD
To points that hint of ItalyF
Of Italy and SpainG
I see the busy ferry boatsH
Come nosing round againI
To the toy station down belowJ
I see the toy trains runK
I wonder when those ferry boatsH
Will get their business doneK
-
Above the Bay called LavenderL
This bard is domiciledC
Where up through rich dark greeneryF
The red tiled roofs are piledC
At least some are I hope that soonM
They all shall be red tiledC
A moonlight night in middle ageN
That makes one feel a childC
-
Close over to the nearer leftC
That feels the ocean breezeO
A full moon in a dim blue skyB
A church spire and dark treesO
And further right the harsher heightsP
Of Mosman Double BayQ
And Rose Bay with their scattered lightsP
Have softened with the dayQ
-
And fair across to where we knowJ
The shelving sea cliffs areR
The lighthouse with a still faint glowJ
Beneath a twinkling starR
Across the harbour from the rightC
And fairly in a lineS
The Clock tower on the City HallT
A ship mast and a pineS
-
The pale and bright yet dusky blueU
And crossed by fleecy barsV
Flings out the brilliant city lightsP
The moonlight and the starsV
And like a transformation sceneW
On sheet glass down belowJ
The fairy lighted ferry boatsH
Are gliding to and froJ
