Youth Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFF

His song of dawn outsoars the joyful birdA
Swift on the weary road his footfall comesB
The dusty air that by his stride is stirredA
Beats with a buoyant march of fairy drumsB
Awake O Earth thine ancient slumber breakC
To the new day O slumbrous Earth awakeC
-
Yet long ago that merry march beganD
His feet are older than the path they treadE
His music is the morning song of manD
His stride the stride of all the valiant deadE
His youngest hopes are memories and his eyesF
Deep with the old old dream that never diesF
