Rumors From An Aeolian Harp Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDDEE FFGG HHII

There is a vale which none hath seenA
Where foot of man has never beenB
Such as here lives with toil and strifeC
An anxious and a sinful lifeC
There every virtue has its birthD
Ere it descends upon the earthD
And thither every deed returnsE
Which in the generous bosom burnsE
-
There love is warm and youth is youngF
And poetry is yet unsungF
For Virtue still adventures thereG
And freely breathes her native airG
-
And ever if you hearken wellH
You still may hear its vesper bellH
And tread of high souled men go byI
Their thoughts conversing with the skyI
