Prayer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAABBCC DDEFEF

Great God I ask for no meaner pelfA
Than that I may not disappoint myselfA
That in my action I may soar as highA
As I can now discern with this clear eyeA
And next in value which thy kindness lendsB
That I may greatly disappoint my friendsB
Howe'er they think or hope that it may beC
They may not dream how thou'st distinguished meC
-
That my weak hand may equal my firm faithD
And my life practice what my tongue saithD
That my low conduct may not showE
Nor my relenting linesF
That I thy purpose did not knowE
Or overrated thy designsF
