Nature Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDDEE FFGGHH IIJJKL

O Nature I do not aspireA
To be the highest in thy choirB
To be a meteor in thy skyC
Or comet that may range on highC
Only a zephyr that may blowD
Among the reeds by the river lowD
Give me thy most privy placeE
Where to run my airy raceE
-
In some withdrawn unpublic meadF
Let me sigh upon a reedF
Or in the woods with leafy dinG
Whisper the still evening inG
Some still work give me to doH
Only be it near to youH
-
For I'd rather be thy childI
And pupil in the forest wildI
Than be the king of men elsewhereJ
And most sovereign slave of careJ
To have one moment of thy dawnK
Than share the city's year forlornL
