When she was nine and twentyB
Not of gold Oh no nor gem nor pearlC
Tho' he who gave had plentyB
'Twas a gift she took so much to heartD
Her neighbors thought her sillyB

A snow white Baby BillyB
Pretty little Billy Billy OhF

When she tried to teach him how to readI
Twas only baa he'd utterJ
As she coaxed him then with cake and creamK
He'd slyly turn to butt herJ
Yet he taught himself a thousand tricksL
And many a curious caperJ
He would clamber to her chimney topM
And dine there on brown paperJ

When the winter came she bought him shoesN
And flannel red she orderedO
For a Sunday suit with trousers cutP
Four legged and embroideredO
On the steeple soon in tatters hungQ
They set the parson snarlingR
And he called that goat Be el ze bubS
The one that she called DarlingR
Pretty little Billy Billy OhF
Where's my Billy Goat gone toG

He was fond of roaming on the rocksT
With workmen in the quarryB
And if there he found their luncheon pailsU
Not he but they were sorryB
For he raised aloft his iron browV
Despite the foreman's clamorJ
And the pails he crushed them one by oneW
As with a blacksmith's hammerJ
Pretty little Billy Billy OhF
Where's my Billy Goat gone toG

Then for pails replaced and pails concealedX
Each morning he went searchingR
Till at last he found a shining prizeY
Upon a boulder perchingR
Had he read its label DynamiteZ
He might have known his blunderJ
But he gave it one tremendous blowF
And then came peals of thunderJ
