The Mystic Veil Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDED CCDED FGFGCDED HIHIJDED

When the shadows take their nightly placesA
When departing light is faint and paleB
Then in my chamber gather phantom facesA
Gazing thro' the mystic veilB
One there is with features so familiarC
Glimpse of her give s my pulse a startD
Oh tell me truely is it you loveE
Come to cheer my lonly heartD
-
Come one step nearer One step nearerC
one shade clearer one shade clearerC
Breath on word before we part before we partD
And tell me truly it is you loveE
Come to cheer my lonely heartD
-
When my song in lonely notes ascendingF
Vainly bids my sadden'd soul rejoin rejoiceG
Methinks I hear a murmur'd alto blendingF
Is it really your sweet voiceG
Answer now if only by a whisperC
Rend the veil the mystic veil apartD
And tell me truely is it you loveE
Come to cheer my lonely heartD
-
Waking while the denser darkness lingersH
Some one seems to stand beside my bedI
I can but think I feel your fairy fingersH
Softly laid upon my headI
Silently why does the vision vanishJ
Dream I yet or is it magic artD
Now tell me truely is it you loveE
Come to cheer my lonely heartD
