Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDD FDFDD AGAGHDHDD AIAIADADD

Please lady please pay my Ma for her sewingA
The suit fits you splendidly that you'll allowB
Oh don't say tomorrow I see you are goingA
But this will not hinder long please pay me nowB
Ma work'd all night for you ev'ry minuteC
Now she lies groaning with pain in her headD
And there by the pantry with not a thing in itE
Sits poor little Theodore crying for breadD
Poor little Theodore crying for breadD
-
On driver on they have all gone before usF
And I will not be late at the ball Beauty saidD
And wintry winds echoed her answer in chorusF
With poor little Theodore crying for breadD
Poor little Theodore crying for breadD
-
Please lady please pay my Ma for her sewingA
I'll run and get change for you Don't call me boldG
But how could you dance tonight all the time knowingA
That we were left suffering hungry and coldG
Ma looks so wild she keeps calling for DaisyH
That was the name of my sister that's deadD
Oh what shall I do with my Ma going crazyH
And poor little Theodore cryiing for breadD
Poor little Theodore crying for breadD
-
Please lady please pay my Ma for her sewingA
She must have some medicine that let me buyI
Now don't speak of beggars 'tis money you're owingA
Do please pay me part of it else we must dieI
On the wheels roll'd and Fidele returned weepingA
Ah in her absence a spirit had fledD
And morning light found her a weary watch keepingA
With poor little Theodore crying for breadD
Poor little Theodore crying for breadD
