Prayers Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBCBC DEDEEFEF GHGHHAHA

God who created meA
Nimble and light of limbB
In three elements freeA
To run to ride to swimB
Not when the sense is dimB
But now from the heart of joyC
I would remember HimB
Take the thanks of a boyC
-
Jesu King and LordD
Whose are my foes to fightE
Gird me with Thy swordD
Swift and sharp and brightE
Thee would I serve if I mightE
And conquer if I canF
From day dawn till nightE
Take the strength of a manF
-
Spirit of Love and TruthG
Breathing in grosser clayH
The light and flame of youthG
Delight of men in the frayH
Wisdom in strength's decayH
From pain strife wrong to be freeA
This best gift I prayH
Take my spirit to TheeA
