Weed Or Flower Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CDDC EFFE GHHG

'Tis but a common thing one coldly saidA
Nay call it not a flower this little weedB
If plucking it I kill it root and seedB
Better the world were if it lay there deadA
-
Ah rather let it live a second criedC
Weed it may be and yet it has its useD
Here in its healing essence its excuseD
For blooming lies and here its only prideC
-
Destroy it not another pled BeholdE
This tapering leaf this soft and tender greenF
Upon my canvas it shall bloom sereneF
This tiny chalice fleck of living goldE
-
Then one bent over it Ah flowret brightG
For only flowers in this garden growH
His earth His sunshine made thee o'er thee blowH
His winds frail thing In thee He shows His mightG
