To Chloe. I-23 (from The Odes Of Horace) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBCDBDCBAB

Ah Chloe like a fawn you now elude meA
Seeking its timid dam on lonely hillsB
Its dam who not without an idle tremorC
At breezes in the forest thrillsB
For if before the breeze the bushes quiverC
With rustling leaves or if green lizards startD
Across the bramble then it is it tremblesB
This little fawn in knees and heartD
But Chloe I am not a cruel tigerC
Nor a G tulian lion thee to chaseB
And now that thou art old enough to marryA
Beside thy mother take thy placeB
