The Titanic Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CBBC DBBD EBBE

Out of the misty NorthA
A stealthy foeman stoleB
Far from the haunted PoleB
On the wide sea went he forthA
-
And he met a giant shipC
As he scoured the sea for tollB
It cannot reach its goalB
Crushed in his icy gripC
-
Of every four just threeD
This was his deadly doleB
Unseen he called the rollB
Ah a cold grave is the SeaD
-
Yet the Sea is not the endE
And Life is not the wholeB
Over each heroic soulB
Shall Eternity extendE
