Strength Renewed Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABCADEFDEF

Ant us as the ancient poets singA
Though in his contest with the God of PowerB
Doomed to be conquered stayed the fatal hourB
And the onlookers set to wonderingA
For overborne to Earth he'd closely clingA
Until he rose again a mighty towerB
Thus could the Earth with strength her lover dowerC
And very near to victory could bringA
So when I feel thy tender hand in mineD
I too dear love against the world could standE
Courage divine comes with thy lightest touchF
Afar from thee Ant us like I pineD
But strength returns now as I clasp thy handE
Ah that so slight a thing should mean so muchF
