Strength Renewed Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABCADEFDEF| Ant us as the ancient poets sing | A |
| Though in his contest with the God of Power | B |
| Doomed to be conquered stayed the fatal hour | B |
| And the onlookers set to wondering | A |
| For overborne to Earth he'd closely cling | A |
| Until he rose again a mighty tower | B |
| Thus could the Earth with strength her lover dower | C |
| And very near to victory could bring | A |
| So when I feel thy tender hand in mine | D |
| I too dear love against the world could stand | E |
| Courage divine comes with thy lightest touch | F |
| Afar from thee Ant us like I pine | D |
| But strength returns now as I clasp thy hand | E |
| Ah that so slight a thing should mean so much | F |
