October's Bright Blue Weather Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBB CDED FGHG IGHG HGJG HGKG HBBB ABLB

O suns and skies and clouds of JuneA
And flowers of June togetherB
Ye cannot rival for one hourB
October's bright blue weatherB
-
When loud the bumblebee makes hasteC
Belated thriftless vagrantD
And goldenrod is dying fastE
And lanes with grapes are fragrantD
-
When gentians roll their fingers tightF
To save them for the morningG
And chestnuts fall from satin burrsH
Without a sound of warningG
-
When on the ground red apples lieI
In piles like jewels shiningG
And redder still on old stone wallsH
Are leaves of woodbine twiningG
-
When all the lovely wayside thingsH
Their white winged seeds are sowingG
And in the fields still green and fairJ
Late aftermaths are growingG
-
When springs run low and on the brooksH
In idle golden freightingG
Bright leaves sink noiseless in the hushK
Of woods for winter waitingG
-
When comrades seek sweet country hauntsH
By twos and twos togetherB
And count like misers hour by hourB
October's bright blue weatherB
-
O sun and skies and flowers of JuneA
Count all your boasts togetherB
Love loveth best of all the yearL
October's bright blue weatherB
