Forgiven Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDEE

I dreamed so dear a dream of you last nightA
I thought you came I was so glad so gayB
I whispered 'Those were foolish words to sayB
I meant them not I cannot bear the sightA
Of our dear face I cannot meet the lightA
Of your dear eyes upon me Sit I prayB
Sit here beside me turn your look awayB
And lay your cheek on mine ' Till morning brightA
We sat so and we did not speak I knewC
All was forgiven so nestled thereD
With your arms round Swift the sweet hours flewC
At last I waked and sought you everywhereD
How long dear think you that my glad cheek willE
Burn as it burns with our cheek's pressure stillE
