Draxy's Hymn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBAA CCA DDCC EEFFGHEE

I cannot think but God must knowA
About the thing I long for soA
I know He is so good so kindB
I cannot think but He will findB
Some way to help some way to showA
Me to the thing I long for soA
-
I stretch my hand it lies so nearC
It looks so sweet it looks so dearC
'Dear Lord ' I pray 'Oh let me knowA
If it is wrong to want it so '-
He only smiles He does not speakD
My heart grows weaker and more weakD
With looking at the thing so dearC
Which lies so far and yet so nearC
-
Now Lord I leave at thy loved feetE
This thing which looks so near so sweetE
I will not seek I will not longF
almost fear I have been wrongF
I'll go and work the harder LordG
And wait till by some loud clear wordH
Thou callest me to thy loved feetE
To take this thing so dear so sweetE
