Crossed Threads Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACCDEDF| The silken threads by viewless spinners spun | A |
| Which float so idly on the summer air | B |
| And help to make each summer morning fair | B |
| Shining like silver in the summer sun | A |
| Are caught by wayward breezes one by one | A |
| Are blown to east and west and fastened there | B |
| Weaving on all the roads their sudden snare | B |
| No sign which road doth safest freest run | A |
| The wing d insects know that soar so gay | C |
| To meet their death upon each summer day | C |
| How dare we any human deed arraign | D |
| Attempt to recon any moment's cost | E |
| Or any pathway trust as safe and plain | D |
| Because we see not where the threads have crossed | F |
