Couleur De Rose Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDDBECBCA CB BFFBCCGC

All things to day 'Couleur de rose 'A
I see oh whyB
I know and my dear love she knowsC
Why oh whyB
On both my eyes her lips she setD
All red and warm and dewy wetD
As she passed byB
The kiss did not my eyelids closeE
But like a rosy vapor goesC
Where'er I sit where'er I lieB
Before my every glance and showsC
All things to day 'Couleur de rose 'A
-
Would it last thus Alas who knowsC
Men ask and sighB
They say it fades 'Couleur de rose '-
Why oh whyB
Without swift joy and sweet surpriseF
Surely those lips upon my eyesF
Could never lieB
Though both our heads were white as snowsC
And though the bitterest storm that blowsC
Of trouble and adversityG
Had bent us low all life still showsC
To eyes that love 'Couleur de rose '-
