What Happened To Lazy Charlotte Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDDEEFF GGHH IIJJ KKLL

Here Charlotte said Mamma one dayA
These stockings knit while I'm awayA
And should you fail be sure you'll findB
Mamma is strict although she's kindB
-
-
But Charlotte took a lazy fitC
And did not feel inclined to knitC
And soon upon the ground let fallD
Needles and worsted hose and allD
I shall not knit said she not IE
At least not now but by and byE
Then stretched and yawned and rubbed her eyesF
Like sluggards when 'tis time to riseF
-
-
But when Mamma came home and foundG
The work all strewed upon the groundG
Quoth she You will not knit and soH
To school barefooted you shall goH
-
This put poor Charlotte in a frightI
And though she knew it served her rightI
She wept and begged and prayed but stillJ
She could not change her mother's willJ
-
-
To school where all were spruce and neatK
Poor Charlotte went with naked feetK
Some showed their pity some their prideL
While Charlotte hid her face and criedL
