Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDD EEFFGGHHII HHHJJ KKLLMM

Here is cruel Frederick seeA
A horrid wicked boy was heA
He caught the flies poor little thingsB
And then tore off their tiny wingsB
He killed the birds and broke the chairsC
And threw the kitten down the stairsC
And oh far worse than all besideD
He whipped his Mary till she criedD
-
The trough was full and faithful TrayE
Came out to drink one sultry dayE
He wagged his tail and wet his lipF
When cruel Fred snatched up a whipF
And whipped poor Tray till he was soreG
And kicked and whipped him more and moreG
At this good Tray grew very redH
And growled and bit him till he bledH
Then you should only have been byI
To see how Fred did scream and cryI
-
So Frederick had to go to bedH
His leg was very sore and redH
The Doctor came and shook his headH
And made a very great to doJ
And gave him nasty physic tooJ
-
But good dog Tray is happy nowK
He has no time to say Bow wowK
He seats himself in Frederick's chairL
And laughs to see the nice things thereL
The soup he swallows sup by supM
And eats the pies and puddings upM
