Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFEF CGCG HIHI JKFK LMLM

Somebody's horse has finished his feedA
Somebody's saddle is onB
But never a nigger the tracks can readC
Or know where Somebody's goneD
-
-
Over the rails and up the creekE
As soon as the sun goes downF
How is it every night this weekE
That Somebody's off to townF
-
-
Grass is dewy and overheadC
Evening stars are brightG
And startled wallabies hear the treadC
Of galloping hoofs at nightG
-
-
Through the scrub and over the plainH
Somebody's galloping fastI
Never a pull on the bridle reinH
Till the town lights show at lastI
-
-
Somebody's horse has whips o' workJ
Whips o' work of lateK
Since Somebody's brown was seen in townF
Tied to Somebody's gateK
-
-
But the wherefore why Somebody ridesL
And the track that the brown horse goesM
Only his rider and one besidesL
Some other Somebody knowsM
