Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FB B GHG

'A well bred horse but he won't get fatA
Though I've done the best canB
He keeps as poor as a blessed rat 'C
Said the sorrowful stable manB
-
-
'I've bled and I've blistered him and to dayD
I bought him a monster ballE
But blow the horse let me do what mayD
He won't get fat at allE
-
-
'I've given him medicines galoreF
And linseed oil and branB
And yet the brute looks awfully poor '-
Said the woebegone stable manB
-
-
One glance the intelligent stranger threwG
At the ribs of the hollow weedH
Then asked with an innocent air 'Did youG
Forget to give him a feed '-
