Through the bound cable strands the arching path	A
Upward veering with light the flight of strings	B
Taut miles of shuttling moonlight syncopate	C
The whispered rush telepathy of wires	D
Up the index of night granite and steel	E
Transparent meshes fleckless the gleaming staves	F
Sibylline voices flicker waveringly stream	G
As though a god were issue of the strings	B

And through that cordage threading with its call	H
One arc synoptic of all tides below	I
Their labyrinthine mouths of history	J
Pouring reply as though all ships at sea	J
Complighted in one vibrant breath made cry	K
Make thy love sure to weave whose song we ply	K
From black embankments moveless soundings hailed	L
So seven oceans answer from their dream	G

And on obliquely up bright carrier bars	M
New octaves trestle the twin monoliths	N
Beyond whose frosted capes the moon bequeaths	N
Two worlds of sleep O arching strands of song	O
Onward and up the crystal flooded aisle	P
White tempest nets file upward upward ring	Q
With silver terraces the humming spars	N
The loft of vision palladium helm of stars	N

Sheerly the eyes like seagulls stung with rime	G
Slit and propelled by glistening fins of light	R
Pick biting way up towering looms that press	N
Sidelong with flight of blade on tendon blade	S
Tomorrows into yesteryear and link	T
What cipher script of time no traveller reads	N
But who through smoking pyres of love and death	U
Searches the timeless laugh of mythic spears	N

Like hails farewells up planet sequined heights	N
Some trillion whispering hammers glimmer Tyre	V
Serenely sharply up the long anvil cry	K
Of inchling aeons silence rivets Troy	W
And you aloft there Jason hesting Shout	X
Still wrapping harness to the swarming air	Y
Silvery the rushing wake surpassing call	H
Beams yelling Aeolus splintered in the straits	N

Tall Vision of the Voyage tensely spare	Y
Bridge lifting night to cycloramic crest	Z
Of deepest day O Choir translating time	G
Into what multitudinous Verb the suns	N
And synergy of waters ever fuse recast	A2
In myriad syllables Psalm of Cathay	B2
O Love thy white pervasive Paradigm	G

We left the haven hanging in the night	R
Sheened harbor lanterns backward fled the keel	E
Pacific here at time s end bearing corn	C2
Eyes stammer through the pangs of dust and steel	E
And still the circular indubitable frieze	N
Of heaven s meditation yoking wave	D2
To kneeling wave one song devoutly binds	N
The vernal strophe chimes from deathless strings	N

O Thou steeled Cognizance whose leap commits	N
The agile precincts of the lark s return	E2
Within whose lariat sweep encinctured sing	Q
In single chrysalis the many twain	F2
Of stars Thou art the stitch and stallion glow	I
And like an organ Thou with sound of doom	G
Sight sound and flesh Thou leadest from time s realm	G
As love strikes clear direction for the helm	G

Whose fell unshadow is death s utter wound	H2
O River throated iridescently upborne	F2
Through the bright drench and fabric of our veins	N
With white escarpments swinging into light	R
Sustained in tears the cities are endowed	I2
And justified conclamant with ripe fields	N
Revolving through their harvests in sweet torment	J2

Forever Deity s glittering Pledge O Thou	K2
Whose canticle fresh chemistry assigns	N
To wrapt inception and beatitude	J2
Always through blinding cables to our joy	W
Of thy white seizure springs the prophecy	N
Always through spiring cordage pyramids	N
Of silver sequel Deity s young name	G
Kinetic of white choiring wings ascends	N
