| you can't help but feel a bit disappointed | B |
| Even though most nights are tough | C |
| you're constantly in a battle with your own thoughts | D |
| you can't shake off the fact that that feeling somehow feels more comforting | E |
| than surrounding yourself with people | F |

| Every moment every action everything just seems like a task | G |
| a task that you're forced to complete including simple things like walking | E |
| Each day you lose more and more interest in activities your old self found amusing and fun | H |

| You start getting silent and self kept at home | I |
| yet at school you remain the bubbly person you were | J |
| not because there's a change of mindset | K |
| but because sometimes people at school notice you more than your family does | L |
| and I don't want to be known for the girl who seeks attention anymore | M |

| You start feeling yourself draw away from yourself by mile every day until you're completely lost | N |
| Grades are good mood check and room clean | O |
| that's why they don't check up on you nobody notices it | P |
| because you hide it in the shadows where the devil lurks waiting for a soul to claim | Q |
| though you never let go you fight though you know you're failing | E |

| when you're face to face with a hidden depression | H |

Poet's note: Hidden depression is unnoticeable. You have to really know someone to be able to detect what they are going through because they definitely won't say anything. To the depressed people who hide it, this is for you, you're not alone and I wish I helped you see that.
