Winter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD AEAE AFAF EGEH

With my breath so keen and chillingA
I have stripped the branches bareB
And my snow flakes white are fillingA
Feather like the frosty airB
-
Coming o'er the lofty mountainsC
There I left a robe of whiteD
I have locked the sparkling fountainsC
I have chained the river brightD
-
O'er the quiet valley wingingA
There I left my traces tooE
Hark the merry sleigh bells ringingA
With their music call on youE
-
I have come The school boy shoutingA
Joyfully brings out his sledF
He has seen me nothing doubtingA
As across the fields he spedF
-
I have come but shall I find youE
Better than the former yearG
If you've cast your faults behind youE
I shall gladly greet you hereH
