The Sheep In Heaven Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB ADEF EGHG EIJK LMNM

Come to the window motherA
Look out and you will seeB
How fast these little clouds sail onC
Above our old elm treeB
-
And tell me dearest motherA
Are these the sheep of heavenD
That in that land are feedingE
From morning until evenF
-
How soft and white and shiningE
Oh say dear mother thereG
Is everything so gentleH
So lovely and so fairG
-
We cannot see them darlingE
The sheep of heaven hereI
And far more beautiful than thisJ
Does that bright land appearK
-
Eye hath not seen ear hath not heardL
Nor tongue of man can tellM
The glories of that home aboveN
Where all the good shall dwellM
