The Baby Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED FGAG HIAI

We've the dearest baby sisterA
And so small and sweet is sheB
That we love to stand beside herA
All her cunning ways to seeB
-
She can talk in baby languageC
She can laugh and she can crowD
She's the pet and she's the darlingE
She's the sweetest one we knowD
-
Mother says that she will alwaysF
Be a sweet and gentle childG
If in all our actions towards herA
We are loving good and mildG
-
Let us then be kind and pleasantH
Ever to our little petI
Nor to thank the God who gave herA
Morn and night let us forgetI
