Tampico Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB CDED

Oh cut me reeds to blow uponA
Or gather me a starB
But leave the sultry passion flowersC
Growing where they areB
-
I fear their sombre yellow deepsC
Their whirling fringe of blackD
And he who gives a passion flowerE
Always asks it backD
