Some say that Guy of Warwick	A
The man that killed the Cow	B
And brake the mighty Boar alive	C
Beyond the bridge at Slough	D

If a may be allowed the term	E
From the writhing of the stricken Worm	E
That died in seven towns	F
I see no scientific proof	G
That this idea is sound	H
And I should say they wound about	I
To find the town of Roundabout	I
The merry town of Roundabout	I
That makes the world go round	H

Whose lantern lights the meads	K
To steal a phrase Sir Walter Scott	L
In heaven no longer needs	K
Such dance around the trysting place	M
The moonstruck lover leads	K
Which superstition I should scout	I
There is more faith in honest doubt	I
As Tennyson has pointed out	I
Than in those nasty creeds	K
But peace and righteousness St John	N
In Roundabout can kiss	O
And since that's all that's found about	I
The pleasant town of Roundabout	I
The roads they simply bound about	I
To find out where it is	P

Went forth to find the Grail	Q
Grey Merlin wrinkled up the roads	R
For hope that he would fail	Q
All roads lead back to Lyonesse	R
And Camelot in the Vale	Q
I cannot yield assent to this	R
Extravagant hypothesis	R
The plain shrewd Briton will dismiss	R
Such rumours Daily Mail	Q
But in the streets of Roundabout	I
Are no such factions found	H
Or theories to expound about	I
Or roll upon the ground about	I
In the happy town of Roundabout	I
That makes the world go round	H
