The Donkey Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JKLK

When fishes flew and forests walkedA
And figs grew upon thornB
Some moment when the moon was bloodC
Then surely I was bornB
-
With monstrous head and sickening cryD
And ears like errant wingsE
The devil's walking parodyF
On all four footed thingsE
-
The tattered outlaw of the earthG
Of ancient crooked willH
Starve scourge deride me I am dumbI
I keep my secret stillH
-
Fools For I also had my hourJ
One far fierce hour and sweetK
There was a shout about my earsL
And palms before my feetK
