The Deluge Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIHJEGE KLMLNKOK

Though giant rains put out the sunA
Here stand I for a signB
Though earth be filled with waters darkC
My cup is filled with wineB
Tell to the trembling priests that hereD
Under the deluge rodE
One nameless tattered broken manF
Stood up and drank to GodE
-
Sun has been where the rain is nowG
Bees in the heat to humH
Haply a humming maiden cameI
Now let the deluge comeH
Brown of aureole green of garbJ
Straight as a golden rodE
Drink to the throne of thunder nowG
Drink to the wrath of GodE
-
High in the wreck I held the cupK
I clutched my rusty swordL
I cocked my tattered featherM
To the glory of the LordL
Not undone were the heaven and earthN
This hollow world thrown upK
Before one man had stood up straightO
And drained it like a cupK
