The Ancient Of Days Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIHIIGI

A child sits in a sunny placeA
Too happy for a smileB
And plays through one long holidayC
With balls to roll and pileB
A painted wind mill by his sideD
Runs like a merry tuneE
But the sails are the four great winds of heavenF
And the balls are the sun and moonE
-
A staring doll's house shows to himG
Green floors and starry rafterH
And many coloured graven dollsI
Live for his lonely laughterH
The dolls have crowns and aureolesI
Helmets and horns and wingsI
For they are the saints and seraphimG
The prophets and the kingsI
