Sonnet To A Stilton Cheese Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCA DEFDEF

Stilton thou shouldst be living at this hourA
And so thou art Nor losest grace therebyB
England has need of thee and so have IB
She is a Fen Far as the eye can scourA
League after grassy league from Lincoln towerA
To Stilton in the fields she is a FenC
Yet this high cheese by choice of fenland menC
Like a tall green volcano rose in powerA
-
-
Plain living and long drinking are no moreD
And pure religion reading 'Household Words'E
And sturdy manhood sitting still all dayF
Shrink like this cheese that crumbles to its coreD
While my digestion like the House of LordsE
The heaviest burdens on herself doth layF
