Good News Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFF GHHG AII

Between a meadow and a cloud that spedA
In rain and twilight in desire and fearB
I heard a secret hearken in your earC
'Behold the daisy has a ring of red 'D
-
That hour with half of blessing half of banE
A great voice went through heaven and earth and hellF
Crying 'We are tricked my great ones is it wellF
Now is the secret stolen by a man '-
-
Then waxed I like the wind because of thisG
And ran like gospel and apocalypseH
From door to door with new anarchic lipsH
Crying the very blasphemy of blissG
-
In the last wreck of Nature dark and dreadA
Shall in eclipse's hideous hieroglyphI
One wild form reel on the last rocking cliffI
And shout 'The daisy has a ring of red '-
