The mountain was filled with the hosts of the Tuatha de DannanA
Old Celtic PoemB

-
See where the auras from the olden fountainA
Starward aspireC
The sacred sign upon the holy mountainA
Shines in white fireD
Waving and flaming yonder o'er the snowsE
The diamond lightF
Melts into silver or to sapphire glowsE
Night beyond nightF
And from the heaven of heavens descends on earthG
A dew divineA
Come let us mingle in the starry mirthG
Around the shrineA
Enchantress mighty mother to our homeH
In thee we pressI
Thrilled by the fiery breath and wrapt in someB
Vast tendernessJ
The homeward birds uncertain o'er their nestK
Wheel in the domeH
Fraught with dim dreams of more enraptured restK
Wheel in the domeH
But gather ye to whose undarkened eyesL
The night is dayM
Leap forth Immortals Birds of ParadiseN
In bright arrayM
Robed like the shining tresses of the sunA
And by his nameO
Call from his haunt divine the ancient oneA
Our Father FlameO
Aye from the wonder light that wraps the starP
Come now come nowA
Sun breathing Dragon ray thy lights afarP
Thy children bowA
Hush with more awe the breath the bright browed racesQ
Are nothing worthG
By those dread gods from out whose awful facesQ
The earth looks forthR
Infinite pity set in calm their vision castS
Adown the yearsT
Beholds how beauty burns away at lastS
Their children's tearsU
Now while our hearts the ancient quietnessJ
Floods with its tideV
The things of air and fire and height no lessI
In it abideV
And from their wanderings over sea and shoreW
They rise as oneA
Unto the vastness and with us adoreW
The midnight sunA
And enter the innumerable AllX
And shine like goldY
And starlike gleam in the immortals' hallX
The heavenly foldY
And drink the sun breaths from the mother's lipsZ
Awhile and thenA
Fail from the light and drop in dark eclipseZ
To earth againA
Roaming along by heaven hid promontoryW
And valley dimA2
Weaving a phantom image of the gloryW
They knew in HimA2
Out of the fulness flow the winds their sonA
Is heard no moreW
Or hardly breathes a mystic sound alongB2
The dreamy shoreW
Blindly they move unknowing as in tranceC2
Their wanderingD2
Is half with us and half an inner danceC2
Led by the KingD2
