The King Initiate Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBCDE FGFGHH IJIJKK L

They took Iesous and scourged him St JohnA
-
Age after age the world has weptB
A joy supreme I saw the handsC
Whose fiery radiations sweptB
And burned away his earthly bandsC
And where they smote the living dyesD
Flashed like the plumes of paradiseE
-
Their joys the heavy nations hushF
A form of purple glory roseG
Crowned with such rays of light as flushF
The white peaks on their towering snowsG
It held the magic wand that gaveH
Rule over earth air fire and waveH
-
What sorrow makes the white cheeks wetI
The mystic cross looms shadowy dimJ
There where the fourfold powers have metI
And poured their living tides through himJ
The Son who hides his radiant crestK
To the dark Father's bosom pressedK
