Symbolism Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAAAA ABABCC DADAAA

Now when the spirit in us wakes and broodsA
Filled with home yearnings drowsily it flingsA
From its deep heart high dreams and mystic moodsA
Mixed with the memory of the loved earth thingsA
Clothing the vast with a familiar faceA
Reaching its right hand forth to greet the starry raceA
-
Wondrously near and clear the great warm firesA
Stare from the blue so shows the cottage lightB
To the field labourer whose heart desiresA
The old folk by the nook the welcome brightB
From the house wife long parted from at dawnC
So the star villages in God's great depths withdrawnC
-
Nearer to Thee not by delusion ledD
Though there no house fires burn nor bright eyes gazeA
We rise but by the symbol chariotedD
Through loved things rising up to Love's own waysA
By these the soul unto the vast has wingsA
And sets the seal celestial on all mortal thingsA
