Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDBBEEFF

Dusk its ash grey blossoms sheds on violet skiesA
Over twilight mountains where the heart songs riseA
Rise and fall and fade away from earth to airB
Earth renews the music sweeter Oh come thereB
Come acushla come as in ancient timesC
Rings aloud the underland with faery chimesC
Down the unseen ways as strays each tinkling fleeceD
Winding ever onward to a fold of peaceD
So my dreams go straying in a land more fairB
Half I tread the dew wet grasses half wander thereB
Fade your glimmering eyes in a world grown coldE
Come acushla with me to the mountains oldE
There the bright ones call us waving to and froF
Come my children with me to the ancient goF
