Natural Magic Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF CGCG HIHI HJHJ

We are tired who follow afterA
Phantasy and truth that fliesB
You with only look and laughterA
Stain our hearts with richest dyesB
-
When you break upon our studyC
Vanish all our frosty caresD
As the diamond deep grows ruddyC
Filled with morning unawaresD
-
With the stuff that dreams are made ofE
But an empty house we buildF
Glooms we are ourselves afraid ofE
By the ancient starlight chilledF
-
All unwise in thought or dutyC
Still our wisdom envies youG
We who lack the living beautyC
Half our secret knowledge rueG
-
Thought nor fear in you nor dreamingH
Veil the light with mist aboutI
Joy as through a crystal gleamingH
Flashes from the gay heart outI
-
Pain and penitence forsakingH
Hearts like cloisters dim and greyJ
By your laughter lured awakingH
Join with you the dance of dayJ
