In The Womb Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED EEEE

Still rests the heavy share on the dark soilA
Upon the black mould thick the dew damp liesB
The horse waits patient from his lowly toilA
The ploughboy to the morning lifts his eyesB
-
The unbudding hedgerows dark against day's firesC
Glitter with gold lit crystals on the rimD
Over the unregarding city's spiresE
The lonely beauty shines alone for himD
-
And day by day the dawn or dark enfoldsE
And feeds with beauty eyes that cannot seeE
How in her womb the mighty mother mouldsE
The infant spirit for eternityE
