Dana Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLMBNOPQRS TUVWXYZA2B2NW

I am the tender voice calling 'Away 'A
Whispering between the beatings of the heartB
And inaccessible in dewy eyesC
I dwell and all unkissed on lovely lipsD
Lingering between white breasts inviolateE
And fleeting ever from the passionate touchF
I shine afar till men may not divineG
Whether it is the stars or the belovedH
They follow with wrapt spirit And I weaveI
My spells at evening folding with dim caressJ
Aerial arms and twilight dropping hairK
The lonely wanderer by wood or shoreL
Till filled with some deep tenderness he yieldsM
Feeling in dreams for the dear mother heartB
He knew ere he forsook the starry wayN
And clings there pillowed far above the smokeO
And the dim murmur from the duns of menP
I can enchant the trees and rocks and fillQ
The dumb brown lips of earth with mysteryR
Make them reveal or hide the god I breatheS
A deeper pity than all love myselfT
Mother of all but without hands to healU
Too vast and vague they know me not But yetV
I am the heartbreak over fallen thingsW
The sudden gentleness that stays the blowX
And I am in the kiss that foemen giveY
Pausing in battle and in the tears that fallZ
Over the vanquished foe and in the highestA2
Among the Danaan gods I am the lastB2
Council of mercy in their hearts where theyN
Mete justice from a thousand starry thronesW
