Blindness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC CDCE FGFH IJIJ

Our true hearts are forever lonelyA
A wistfulness is in our thoughtB
Our lights are like the dawns which onlyA
Seem bright to us and yet are notC
-
Something you see in me I wis notC
Another heart in you I guessD
A stranger's lips but thine I kiss notC
Erring in all my tendernessE
-
I sometimes think a mighty loverF
Takes every burning kiss we giveG
His lights are those which round us hoverF
For him alone our lives we liveH
-
Ah sigh for us whose hearts unseeingI
Point all their passionate love in vainJ
And blinded in the joy of beingI
Meet only when pain touches painJ
