Alter Ego Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH IJIK LMLM

All the morn a spirit gayA
Breathes within my heart a rhymeB
'Tis but hide and seek we playA
In and out the courts of TimeB
-
Fairy lover when my feetC
Through the tangled woodland goD
'Tis thy sunny fingers fleetC
Fleck the fire dews to and froD
-
In the moonlight grows a smileE
Mid its rays of dusty pearlF
'Tis but hide and seek the whileE
As some frolic boy and girlF
-
When I fade into the deepG
Some mysterious radiance showersH
From the jewel heart of sleepG
Through the veil of darkened hoursH
-
Where the ring of twilight gleamsI
Round the sanctuary wroughtJ
Whispers haunt me in my dreamsI
We are one yet know it notK
-
Some for beauty follow longL
Flying traces some there beM
Seek thee only for a songL
I to lose myself in theeM
